EDG's control and power generation expertise has expanded in the manufacturing environment

EDG:s move into manufacturing has been spearheaded by EDG's power generation capabilities, in particular EDG's cogeneration and waste heat treatment expertise.

One such installation performed by EDG, as the engineer and contractor, was the turnkey engineering, design, and construction of a 5MW cogeneration plant for Anderson Lithograph (shown left). This unit recovers enough thermal energy to generate 1,340 tons of chilled water.  Of particular note is the units ability to capture nearly all fugitive volatile organic compound (VOC) generated from all manufacturing and maintenance operations and to destroy them by putting them through the turbine (thus providing the same function as a thermal oxidisation pollution control device)
